SIDAMA BENSA NATURAL: A VIBRANT NEW ARRIVAL

SIDAMA BENSA NATURAL: A VIBRANT NEW ARRIVAL

We are pleased to introduce Ethiopia Sidama Bensa, a new coffee that highlights the distinctive character of Ethiopia’s renowned Sidama region. Grown at elevations between approximately 1,950 and 2,150 meters above sea level, this coffee reflects the unique conditions that make Ethiopian coffees some of the most expressive in the world. The high altitude, fertile soils, and careful harvesting practices contribute to a cup that is bright, complex, and full of character.

This lot is processed using the natural method, where ripe coffee cherries are dried slowly with the fruit still intact. This process enhances sweetness and fruit intensity, creating a layered flavor profile. In the cup, Sidama Bensa offers notes of grapefruit and peach, supported by a gentle cocoa sweetness and subtle hints of nutmeg. The result is a coffee with vibrant acidity, a creamy body, and a clean, balanced finish.

Sidama has long been recognized as one of Ethiopia’s most important coffee-producing regions, known for producing coffees with remarkable clarity and lively fruit notes. Coffees from the Bensa area are particularly valued for their balance of brightness and sweetness. Careful selection and drying ensure that the natural process expresses the full potential of the beans while maintaining a refined and structured profile.

Ethiopia Sidama Bensa is a versatile coffee suited for a variety of roast profiles and brewing methods. Its bright fruit notes make it an excellent choice for filter brewing, while its sweetness and body allow it to perform well as a single-origin espresso or as part of a seasonal blend. This new arrival represents the quality and character that make Ethiopian coffees so sought after by roasters and coffee enthusiasts alike.
