WHAT DOES "ROASTED ON DEMAND" AND "SMALL BATCHES" ACTUALLY MEAN

WHAT DOES "ROASTED ON DEMAND" AND "SMALL BATCHES" ACTUALLY MEAN

Freshly roasted doesn't mean much if the bag has been sitting on a shelf for months before it reaches you. That's the gap between what "fresh" sounds like and what it actually means in practice, and it's the reason we roast the way we do.

Roasted on demand means we don't pre-roast large volumes and store them, waiting for someone to order. We roast after you place your order, which means your coffee is days old, not weeks or months old, by the time it arrives at your door. Coffee starts losing its aroma and flavour approximately 21 days after roasting, so this single decision has more impact on what's in your cup than almost anything else.

Small batches mean we roast in limited quantities at a time rather than pushing large volumes through the roaster to save time. Every batch gets our full attention: closer monitoring, tighter control over temperature and timing, and the ability to adjust the roast profile to each specific coffee instead of applying one generic curve to everything.

Together, these two choices are slower and less efficient than mass roasting, but they're also the reason our coffee tastes the way it does. Freshness and consistency aren't marketing words for us; they're the direct result of how we work.
