Nano Challa is a highly respected Ethiopian coffee cooperative known for producing outstanding washed Arabica prized by specialty roasters. Founded in 2004 by 25 farmers, it now represents 600+ members operating two quality-driven washing stations.
Located in the Gera district of Jimma, Nano Challa’s forest-grown coffees mature slowly under natural shade, resulting in high-density beans and clean, complex cup profiles. The farms host diverse indigenous Ethiopian varieties, contributing to layered flavors and natural sweetness.
Careful hand-sorting, 40–50 hour fermentation, gravity washing, and slow drying on African raised beds ensure consistency and clarity in every lot, finished at 11% moisture for optimal roast performance.
