Ethiopia is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest specialty coffees, and Sidama Bensa is a perfect example. Sourced from the Ayla Washing Station in the highlands of Sidama, this coffee is grown by smallholder farmers cultivating their plots organically at high altitude.
Processed naturally with care, the ripe cherries are hand-sorted and sun-dried on raised beds for over two weeks, turning regularly and protected from the midday sun. This meticulous natural processing ensures each bean develops balanced sweetness, density, and complexity.
The cup? Vibrant and fruit-forward, with notes of grapefruit, cocoa, and nutmeg, layered with gentle floral hints of jasmine and lavender. Its creamy texture and bright acidity make it ideal for filter or espresso, delivering an aromatic and unforgettable experience.
Sidama Bensa isn’t just coffee – it’s a showcase of Sidama’s high-altitude farms, dedicated Ethiopian farmers, and the remarkable potential of specialty coffee.
