TRACEABILITY
Every cup of Muhororo Coffee begins with the hands of over 200 dedicated Rwandan farming families. These growers bring freshly picked cherries to our washing station, where the journey from fruit to bean begins. Each batch is pulped with precision, fermented for 12 to 14 hours, then washed thoroughly and sun-dried on raised beds for up to 15 days — a process rooted in care, tradition, and quality.
But our commitment goes beyond the bean. Every year, Muhororo distributes 4,000 coffee trees to local farmers and offers expert training in sustainable agriculture, in collaboration with Rwanda’s National Agricultural Export Development Board. We believe that great coffee thrives when communities do too.
Looking forward, we’re investing in the future: from building a daycare center for the children of our hardworking farmers to launching initiatives like piglet-sharing programs that help boost household incomes and strengthen local economies. At Muhororo, traceability is more than knowing where your coffee comes from — it’s knowing who it supports, and how it changes lives.
